Dubai is known as home of the world’s tallest building, the world’s biggest mall, some of the world’s richest people and a whole bunch of other superlatives. Dubai is always striving to be the biggest and the best at everything, and I will admit that it gave the city a somewhat artificial and superficial feel at first. But the more I got to know Dubai, the more I liked it.
The only thing missing for me was a little bit of nature. Dubai has a few beaches and a desert that I absolutely fell in love with, but everything else seemed so manmade that it left me wanting more.
That’s when our friend told my cousin and me that she’d be taking us to Miracle Garden, a place that marries natural beauty with manmade structures in a truly impressive way. Inside this huge garden, there were houses, trains, tunnels and replicas of famous landmarks as well as many other structures all made out of flowers. It was a colorful fantasy world perfect for an afternoon stroll or an “artsy” (albeit slightly narcissistic) Instagram photo shoot.
Since my words can only do so much justice to a place that actually turned out to be one of my favorites in Dubai, here are a few of the best photos I captured that day. They’ll convince you that Miracle Garden is definitely worth a visit while in Dubai. Oh and did I mention that it’s the largest flower garden in the world? Or that it’s part of a larger project called Dubailand which will be twice the size of the Walt Disney Resort and will also be the largest collection of theme parks in the world ? Are we really surprised by that though? It is Dubai after all!
